Pricing
Free while we build it
One plan, priced at nothing, for as long as piertun is in open beta. There is no billing system, so there is nothing that can start charging you by itself.
Open beta · no credit card
- Tunnels to remote TCP services
- Direct peer-to-peer with encrypted relay fallback
- Several tunnels at once
- Windows and Linux
- No card on file, because there is nothing to charge
No SLA and no support commitment during beta. We answer email, usually quickly — but we will not promise a response time we cannot guarantee.
After the beta
What happens when it stops being free
piertun will not be free forever — a product that has to stay online has to be paid for. When paid plans arrive we will say so here first and tell beta users directly. Nothing starts charging by itself: there is no billing system today.
Will the free tier stay free?
A free tier for personal and small-scale use is intended to stay. We are not going to promise "free forever" for unlimited commercial use, because that would not be honest.
Will beta users be grandfathered?
That is the intention, and beta users will hear about any change before it happens. We are not going to dress that up as a contract while the product is this young.
How will pricing work?
Intent, not a price list: per site or per connector rather than per user, because that is how the people we are building for already buy this kind of thing.
Can I self-host it?
Not today. Being able to point piertun at your own relay is on the roadmap.
Are you taking payment now?
No. There is no billing system, no card on file, and no way for you to be charged by accident.
Nothing to pay, nothing to cancel
Create a tunnel, paste one line on the far machine, and see whether it fits how you work.
